Brighthall is a quaint town, not unaccustomed to odd affairs. Yet when Johnathon Ambers steps foot in this idiosyncratic village, he finds that its preternatural events seem to revolve at a faster rate than before. Soon the town will fall off its axis altogether, and then chaos will culminate in a storm of lies, deceit, treachery, malice and wonder.

Who are the hooded crusaders that stalk the streets at night?
What are the sounds emanating from the underground caves?
Why are there so many hushed voices?
What really lies at the heart of this confused town?

All of these mysteries are the wind before the storm. For something bigger Is arising, ready to rip Brighthall apart and change it forever. And that storm is coming. One drop at a time.

But all of Emmy's plans come to a screeching halt when the FBI shows up at her door to let her know that she's being stalked by a serial killer. Suddenly, the safe, insulated world she created for herself is riddled with violence, fear...and a growing pile of dead bodies. At first Emmy wants nothing more than to forget her chilling new reality - but her admirer isn't finished with her yet, and before she knows it, Emmy's stuck in a nightmare she can't dance her way out of.
