Icarus, a faceless member of Taak Force 141, suddenly has his face revealed with a mission gone wrong. It doesn't seem to bother him, but now he's staying at the 141 base of operations, and it seems to bother someone else.

All characters, except for Icarus and Amanda, and it takes place after the MW2 campaign (spoilers). Since we don't know what happens after it (yet) I took some inspiration from past games as to what may happened with some characters (i.e. Graves, Shepard).

A slowburn-ish soapxreader story i made for fun (first time yay) COMPLETED+MINORS DNI all cover credits to 661ave on tik tok!! they make the best COD renderings. Reader is a solider working for the Shadow Company at Graves orders. The mission was to find, maybe fuck, and kill Soap, Ghosts only friend; without Soap Ghost would be a shell of a man and unable to use his strengths again the Shadow Companys bigger plan. But along the way things get a little south as you are instead taken as a hostage to the 141 at their base. Learning you were betrayed by Phillip Graves you join the 141 to help them out to get closer to Graves to kill him and escape the military all together with Benning, who may or may not be alive. It's not very lore accurate and loosely takes place during MW2. The most iinspo i got plot wise is the cold war campaign so if ykkk ;) At the beginning there was more POV variation; by the end i stuck with 2nd pov. mc is a little of self insert and annoying, dont worry. Summary: Elaina was recruited by TF:141 as their permanent onsite medic. She slowly gets to know the team, except for one. Simon "Ghost" Riley. The mysterious and dangerous masked soldier who barely speaks to her. She feels he doesn't like or trust her and she has no idea why. Yet Elaina wishes he would let her get to know him just a little, after all her contract is for at least three years. After assisting Price with yearly qualifications for the team, things start shifting between Simon and Elaina. When her past threatens to intrude on her present Simon becomes her shield. Author's Note: Okay, so I have only just started getting into this fandom. (Hey, blame the COD cosplayers that have begun flooding my TikTok courtesy of BookTok. LOL.
