Tendou is a merman. _-*~Surprise~*-_

He's never found interest in his life under the water, he's much more enraptured by the people of the surface. He's dreamt of walking amongst humans and talking and creating relationships just as they do. However, he's never had a solid reason to risk his father's wrath to visit the surface. 

But when he catches sight of the prince one fateful night, he cannot tear his eyes - or his hearts - away. He's drawn to the surface and the prince is drawn to the sea. 

But like all romances, the path is long and treacherous. Tendou juggles his love for the prince and hatred for his father at the same time, and it's no easy feat. It's precarious, but Tendou will do anything to keep the prince by his side, even if it means giving up his relationships with his beloved brothers. 

But the real question is, how much is he truly willing to risk to be Part of YOUR World?All Rights Reserved

If you read "Castle Swimmer" on Webtoon, it's similar to that, and no, not much to "The Little Mermaid" A drop from the sun sunk into the depths of the ocean. A merman, born with the abilities of the sea, and one problem, they're not like regular merfolk. They're smaller, like a human borrower, 5 inches tall The merman's duty is to complete prophesies at his own will (not forced like in the webtoon), but the only disadvantage he has is the fear of merchildren As he swims to do a prophesy, something stops him and gets caught in the chaos of the ocean near the surface, for he heard rumors that the surface is a dangerous place for any merman or mermaid, but to the Beacon, it was a blessing

Prince Hitoshi isn't much of a social person let alone a romantic one, so when his parents arrange a marriage for him for a desperate political alliance with a neighboring kingdom, you can guess how he felt about it. He understood that their country was running low on resources and needed the alliance to keep his people alive, but he'd heard stories of the aloof prince of Nabu and he wasn't looking forward to meeting him. Let alone marrying the guy. To make matters worse, one day under the cover of darkness he finds a very cute blonde boy dressed in rags trying to climb an old apple tree. With a little bit of bonding over flowers and some fibs here and there the two grow close. Not even realizing who each other were until... (Okay so this is a Shinkami royalty/fantasy AU because there aren't enough of them on here. Mingi whispers his song louder, loud enough to lure the human closer, though he's careful not to sing it too loud. It has a tendency to kill friend and foe alike. The man obeys, hanging onto Mingi's every word. He takes a step closer, then another and another until he's practically leaning over the railing. He's close enough now that Mingi can see his stunningly wide eyes and his full lips and it's almost a shame that his life will end here, for he is the most beautiful thing Mingi thinks he's ever laid eyes on. He reaches out a clawed hand to touch the man's face. It's soft and smooth. Mingi is as captivated as the human seems to be and for a split second, the man's eyes are lucid. They are lucid and Mingi realizes he's stopped singing. His voice escapes him and his song dies in his throat and he doesn't even notice until San's voice is gone too and with it, the spell keeping the human obedient and still. OR A pirate tries to capture the siren trying to eat him and everything goes to shit for everyone involved.

Rui had always longed to see what life was like on Terra Firma. He wanted to explore the above-water continent and learn about the culture of the sorcerers and the Lupus people. But, above all, he yearned to find out how the technology and the magic from up above worked! However, Rui was the son of the King of the merfolk; neither he nor his sister, Nene, were permitted to even graze the surface of the water with a single scale. This was because of the Old Debacle, as the merfolk called it. It was a war between the sorcerers and the merpeople. Once the merfolk were on the brink of losing, the young prince of Terra Firma at the time, named Solis, snuck out to the ocean one night and struck a deal with the opponent. If they promised that they would not hurt his people any longer, then he would tell the kingdom that he had eliminated the entirety of them in the darkness of the night with his magic. Sadly, Solis was a victim in a terrible outbreak, and he was killed by the circulating virus. Tsukasa was a descendant of the kind prince. Some called him the reincarnation of Solis himself due to his incredible power, but little did the townsfolk know that he had another thing in common with his deceased, famed ancestor... ...and neither did they know that he would find himself falling in love with a merman.
