Cora Asher is 18 and lives in Boston. She's spending her new year's eve with her best friend Tessa Lawson. That wasn't the plan from the beginning though. Her best friend and her brother Trea Lawson are moving in with Cora's family.
Tessa and Trea's parents are splitting up and she's devastated. Tessa blames it on his brother Trea. Cora being her best friend has to be supportive, even though she feels that Trea's a good brother and would never do something so insensitive. But that's not all she feels.
