Katie unexpectedly reunites with her former best friend, and Josh quickly realizes that his feelings for her are not just platonic anymore. * As I'm walking out of work I get a call from my brother to pick my niece up from school. For the past 4 years that little girl has had me wrapped around her finger and I wouldn't have it any other way. Unfortunately I got stuck in traffic on the way over so I'm late for pick up. Once I get to Melanie's classroom I fill out the sign out sheet that's on the wall and make my way into the classroom. I faintly hear Melanie laughing so I know she's not upset from me being late. "Hey I'm so sorry. I got stuck in traff..." I said stopping mid sentence, stunned at the woman in front of me. Standing in front of me is someone I considered one of the most important people to me back in highschool. As soon as I looked into those Caribbean blue that I used to know so well, I knew it was her. It takes her a few seconds to realize who I am. She stands there stunned. We continue to stare at each other until she breaks the silence. "Josh?" She asks not believing it's actually me. "Hey Katie girl." But things all changed when their father got sent to prison. Eight new social workers and five foster families later, the girls finally found their home. Now, at eighteen, Jade is counting down the days until her exams are over, excited to spend a stress-free summer with her boyfriend, her two best friends, and her forever family. Unfortunately, things don't always go to plan -- not in a town like Greencliff. Upon meeting the Coleman brothers -- a family that fits so well into the 'gang' culture she so desperately wants to avoid -- Jade finds herself teetering on the edge of a blade, carefully balanced between the life she wants and the life she wants to escape. And when she catches the eye of Lucas Coleman, the eldest of the brothers, it's only a matter of time before she falls. Only one question remains: Which way will she land? She Doesn't Care . (Being Edited)
Follow the story of a girl named McKenzie during her high school experience, re-told years later, when she’s asked to explain her adolescence. McKenzie wasn’t such an ‘average’ teenager, even in her own generations’ eyes. She was the type of girl to party all day and night long, have casual sexual relationships with men years older than her, and do loads of drugs. On top of that, she had to deal with a family that hated her. McKenzie spent her teenage years with no one but herself, and the people inside her head. She had to live through every day pretending she was normal, when she knew she was so far past sane it was unbearable to even think about. How long does it take for a teenage girl that has to deal with all that, to crack? Join McKenzie on her journey of thinking back, and remembering everything she wants to forget.Complete

Lost in the waves
Do we truly know those we consider as our family? This is the last year before the beginning of the rest of Cara and Mia lives! Mia Carter still has one more year to spend on Angel Island before leaving, with her best friend, for Montreal to pursue their dream careers. The only problem is that she has to hold on without murdering her nemesis: Austin Coopler. At least, that's what she thought before Cara suddenly vanishes on the evening of the first day of school. No news, no leads, and even stranger, neither the police nor her family seem to care. But Mia is convinced that this disappearance is not a simple runaway case. Caught up in an investigation that goes beyond a mere disappearance, she has no choice but to cooperate with her archenemy and a group of friends who have known each other since childhood. TW - sensitive topics This story contains a lot of references to addiction (alcohol and drugs), and as the chapters progress, they will become more serious. Furthermore, the main character (Mia) suffers from diagnosed chronic anxiety, which I have portrayed to the best of my own experience. All characters, places, and events are fictional (products of my imagination only). Protected story.Complete
