If We Were Gonna End was Isabelle's story. Now, in Why Did We Even Begin, we finally learn the truth about Leovic Van Laere and his untold story about his struggles in becoming a Lawyer he is now.

Ever since Leovic meets Belle, he's convinced that he'll spend the rest of his life with her. He spend his childhood up to his college years with her-until Belle made an unforeseen choice that left Leovic fighting for their relationship alone. Feeling so lost and broken from Belle, Leovic soon finds solace in Zarina-a woman he met in law school. As his interest for Zarina grows, his decision to be with her puts him in direct conflict with Belle.

After years since the breakup, Leovic saw Belle again, but the emotional and mental scarring has altered his love for the woman he fell in love with years ago. Leovic's life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt and remorse. He has never stopped searching for her, believing that finding her would bring him the peace he needs to move on. However, Leovic could not have anticipated that he would be faced with even greater pain the moment they reconnected. Leovic soon realizes he has to make a choice because he can't love two woman at the same time.
