my haikus

Here is a collection of haikus I've written since 2019.

2019 was a hard year for me. From being thrust into a huge role of leadership I was not mentally prepared for, forcing myself to like another guy in college so that I could forget another special person in my life, to falling into such a deep pit of loneliness even if I had people around me.

But a lot has changed since then. It took me months to know that I wanted to heal. And it started with pulling my curtains away from the windows of my dorm room and allowing the rays of the sun in every single day.

2019 may have been unforgiving and relentless, but it gave me the strength and most importantly, courage to handle even harder things which started with the untimely death of my grandfather last April 2020.
