He lightly brushed his thumb along her cheek wiping away a tear that escaped from her eye. His hand lingered on her face. She held her breath and looked into his eyes. He brought his forehead down to hers so that their faces were inches apart. She had stopped crying and hadn’t noticed that her heart was beating furiously against her chest.
"Hope." She heard him whisper against her cheek. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes.
