Victoria Eaglewater was supposed to be Aideen reincarnated, which means she's supposed to protect the island. However, during a battle against Dark Core and the Dark Riders, things go awry and she finds herself questioning everything she's ever been taught by the ones who hold secrets of the island. But they hold darker secrets that are better locked away. Maybe Sabine wasn't wrong after all, and maybe Anne is right in questioning Fripp and how he runs Jorvik and it's "protectors."
Note: This is canon-divergent and is filled with headcanon's along with actual lore for the game. Please read all the tags carefully so you're not surprised along the way. Well. Actually doesn't magically appear but just got discovered. Don't ask why now you're gonna ruin the moment. Continuing on! The Octagram investigates. (And by Octagram I mean by Rimuru. The other Demon Lord's appear quite later on) Things go sideways. Like spirit-wolf-caught-in-an-explosion sideways. This is a rewrite of my old story, Battle Scars. There will be a few plot changes but nothing too major. ---------------------------- The Alryne tribe was known to be a very power-hungry group of Vikings, however they have remained quiet for generations. Now the tribe has faded into legend. However, their current leader, Brendan the Battle Winner, has found the location of the King of Dragons. And he wants it for himself. It is located on the island of Berk, but that island is known to have dragon-riding warriors who have defeated villains such as Viggo Grimborn and even Drago Bludvist, so he must plan carefully. He starts by sending out a group of scouts lead by his daughter Brenna, and in that group is a girl named Alice Flarson. On their journey to Berk, they are attacked by one of the rarest and feared dragons in the world: the Flightmare. A dragon that glows as bright as the sun and is capable of freezing its enemies in fear. The dragon is struck down, but Alice finds it injured on the small island where the group temporarily set up camp. She frees the dragon and flees back to her camp, but as time goes on she finds herself going back to find the dragon and even befriending it. During all of this she discovers a side to dragons that no one from her tribe ever saw, and she makes it her job to warn the chief of Berk before Alryne can take the king of dragons and put the entire dragon kind at jeopardy. War against Alryne is inevitable, but Alice thinks she might be able to help Berk prepare for the battle ahead.Complete
