My name is Marie. And at the beginning of the summer of 1941, my life turned upside down and into a nightmare. My mother and my father, killed by fake Germans. My sister, sent to an orphanage where I was sure I would never see her again. But I, Marie Darwin, had not the incredible luck that she had. I was taken to a place of horror, where death meets life and everything is frozen in time. (Most of the images are not mine but some are mine, and the story and characters, except Marie, belong to Ransom Riggs) The next chapter is coming soon!!! Trigger warnings: gore, violence, war camps. Subjects of self harm and mental health are addressed. Rough subjects all round.

But when her miscalculations and malfunctioning ship takes her off course, she crash lands on a planet deemed to be uninhabitable. Until she meets an alien who burns hotter then the sun and who knows too much, and too little, about her kind.
