Kaiden Laurel, a popular professional football player, has it all. The looks, the status, the skills, the fame-everyone likes him. Everyone wants to be him. He was his father's greatest investment. Kaiden was aiming to win the ballon d'or that season.

Well, that was before the knee injury he suffered that almost took away his career from him. In a few seconds, all aspirations, gone. The ballon d'or went out of reach. Everything he worked hard for shattered as he lay on the field, not able to move his leg and filled with excruciating pain.

Erin Savellano used to love the ocean-the reason why she joined the swim team during her high school years. She continued swimming until her college years. However, when the only person who inspired her to continue left her alone in this world, she was shattered. And the only thing left for her was her demons.

When Erin met Kaiden, it was as though her world suddenly became tolerable again. The demons paused, but now, she's on a cliff with him. A little step forward, they might fall. And now, there's only two options.
