Life hasn't been kind to me, but I haven't been kind to it.

Meet Scarlett Evans, a 23 year old girl who leads an average life, living in London with her best friends Ava Rhodes, and Tomm Mason.
Despite her sucess on stage as part of a dance and drama company, Scarlett's parents strongly disagree with her career choice - but her high school grades leave her with limited options. Ava, as a nurse, adopted the role of Scarlett's surrogate mother for over 7 years.
Although her (as Ava would put it) 'Victoria's Secret' appearance has attracted a large amount of male attention, all her previous relationships have been dysfunctional, and Scarlett has been unlucky in love - to say the least.
That is until she comes face to face with a very handsome stranger - Richard Armitage. 
As romance begins to blossom, it appears that Scarlett is hiding a dark secret from Richard.
Will her past catch up with her and ruin her relationship with the only man who wants her for more than how she looks?
