Rue is a Wanderer with his past haunting his shoulders.
Koda is a Capitolists with a huge heart and an aching grudge.
The two of them are seeking the same thing; to awaken The Five Pillars that restrains Old Maya. But to accomplish such a task, the two of them must work together to navigate through the dangers of the sandy outskirts and the biased cities. However, Rue wants nothing to do with Koda, who he finds stubborn and untrustworthy. On the other hand, Koda is completely mesmerized by Rue, who he finds cold yet sensitive.
But as mysteries unravel and tension builds in the air, Rue finds his distaste for Koda turn into possible attraction.

I'M GOING TO START EDITING THIS PROBABLY. If you go to Our Lady of the Black Veil Academy, chances are you know the names Cass Landry, Rebecca Lovelace, and Mallory Meksawan. Cass Landry being the mysterious new girl with a tendency to practice magic illegally, Rebecca being notorious for lighting up every room she walks into, and Mallory being the second in command it-girl of Black Veil, as famed as she is feared.
