THE RAT AND THE MOUSE- WITW

Rodentia was a young girl.

With being so spry, kind-hearted, and full of life, she would always help out in the woods, no matter the species.

Not only that, but she always followed the rules her father set in place, and never talked back...

Except for one specific demand, one that she never understood;

Never go to the riverbanks.

No matter how hard she tried, Rodentia could never escape the allure that the water held. It was like a drug, and she was an addict.

Yet she could never find the river. One night, she had been so overcome by curiosity and passion for what lied outside the woods, she simply left, along with her two best friends, and unlike every other time...

They didn't come back.

She spent her entire childhood looking for the river and the forest, but had never found it. Soon enough, she was almost sure she never would.

Her mind had changed, and she was no longer the sweet naïve little girl she used to be, but rather a manipulative seductress, who used men to her advantage, in hopes to get to the clear gold she had searched for.

However, all of that changes when she runs into two bright-eyed, just as curious young men, known as Ratty and Mole.

The two-or, Ratty- isn't exactly fond of her who-cares, sassy attitude, but when her, Anura, and Mustel makes the duo an offer they can't refuse, they're forced to set it aside.

She only uses them to get the the river at first... but what happens when she realizes that she might want more?

When her childhood best friends start to have changed of heart, is hers soon to follow?

This is very loosely based on the broadway musical "Wind in the willows", because I'm in love with Simon Lipkin and didn't see any fanfics.
