After watching her mother's execution, Elisa Payne is forced to live with her Grandmother. Her life takes an unexpected turn after finding out her mother had been a descendant of a royal family in Femb Island. She then struggles adjusting to her new life with the help of her mentor, Hugh Muldowney and best friend, Piper Needham. She discovers great amount of information about her family with the assistance of Peter Ayce, a member of another royal family, becoming more fond of him the longer they work together.
