However, all of this changes when an asteroid crashes into the moon, pushing it much closer to Earth than anticipated, leading to catastrophic disaster to his large coastal town as the power shuts down and the tidal tsunamis ravage their coastline. Written in a hybrid-diary format, these journal entries chronicle the fears and emotions of Neal as he and his family struggle to survive in this changed world. Each day is a struggle as the world falls further and further in decay as volcanic eruptions cloud the skies and the waves eat away at the land. No one thinks of the past anymore. The planets were all doing what they usually did. Sun talking with Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars playing solar cards, Jupiter and Saturn talking, Uranus writing in his diary, Neptune talking to asteroids, etc. that was until, they all passed out. Edit sep 10: This story is mostly centered around Neptune and Uranus with occasional switches to other planets, for example, earth, venus, moons, etc. If you don't like those 2 very much, that's fine, just don't leave a hate comment or anything. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather.
