Part of a series on the mythical creatures of Equestria, many of whom have been lost to the winds of time.

Centuries ago the scorching sands of the San Palomino Desert were richly inhabited in metropolis-cities built and maintained by the technologically advanced race known as the Namib. Such cities were lost to the winds of time countless generations ago, and what is left of their utopia has since been consumed by the waves of sand. Though most of them were halted, many remain in operation miles beneath the offset of sky, and that is to say nothing of the anonymous operator who dwells within, keeps the great steampunk machines running, and has grown used to the isolation and lack of companionship.
