A conflicting, dramatic, and confusing love story between two young boys. "The Stars In Our Sky" follows the relationship between Aleksandr Navrátil and Julian Santos-Morales, two boys in their late sophomore year of high school who have to navigate school, love, and identity. About the characters: Aleksandr Navrátil is an American boy born to Czech parents. Born in Houston, Texas, he spent a good portion of his life 'back home' in Prague, Czechia. His parents, like many Czechs, are less religious and are more progressive and open-minded. They support their son being gay and had known he liked boys from a young age. Aleksandr comes from a well-off family. His mother works as a chef at a local 'high-end' restaurant, while his dad owns a small tailor business. Julian Santos-Morales is a Guatemalen-American boy who was born in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. He moved with his parents and two siblings to the US when he was nine. His parents are devout Catholics and do not support gay people, but aren't outwardly homophobic. For this reason, Julian cannot be open about his sexuality, which leads to a lot of internalized homophobia. Julian's family is not as wealthy, but they get by. His father is a roofer, and his mother works as an Elder Care assistant. About the Author, and the inspiration: Noaj Petrowski is an American boy, born to a Polish-Peruvian immigrant family. He was born in Houston, Texas, but would occasionally spend the summers in Poland with his family. He is the inspiration for the character Aleksandr. He comes from an upper-middle-class family and his father owns a small business, like Aleksandr's father. His family is Jewish and Catholic but is accepting and open-minded. The character Julian is inspired by Petrowski's past relationships. Petrowski recalls throughout high school his relationships with many Bi-questioning, Latino men, and how hard it was for him and for the boys he was with. He recalls how toxic, and secretive the relationships wer

Sean Owens: a stoic, popular jock that's mostly known for his sporty lifestyle and his good looks at his school. No one -not even his closest friends- know he's gay, but he's never tried to hide it, just never tried to show it either. The one person that he thought he would tell about his sexuality was the same person that made him realize it, but that person stopped talking to him soon after he moved. It had been so long he couldn't even remember what his face looked like. But he didn't matter now, what mattered now to Sean was to get through this last year of highschool, and to get into college. Simple as that, it wasn't like his past crush was going to randomly appear in his school or something. Will Sin-Nombre: a Hispanic, jokester that comes from Catholic family, and had to be homeschooled after a rather serious fight that may have, or may have not earned him a trip to the hospital, and some minor memory loss. He thought he would be homeschooled again this year, but his parents had found him a school that would take him. Usually, Will would ease right into any situation quickly, but this school isn't like the public school he went to before, and he wasn't completely sure what he thought about his rather attractive, yet super familiar looking classmate. (Side note) This is a fanfic of Popularity by Adam Bagdasarian and this story is just a fun idea me and my friends came up with so I'll see if I continue it as it goes. (Also the cover isn't mine)
