As long as Maddy can remember, she has spent the last 13 years of her life in the Glass Rooms. She can still remember the day that the Soldiers took her from her parents. But she can barely remember how the air feels against skin, what the sun looks like, or how the water moves in the ocean. 

The only contact that she has had since her being taken from her parents is the White Soldiers that don't talk and whose faces are covered and who hold batons. The Scientist, that claim she will be free soon. They make that promise to everyone. The other "Prisoners" the ones that never talked and only sobbed. Missing everyone that was taken from them.

As the opportunity comes, and Maddy and the Prisoners, plan to escape. Once they leave. The air, does not feel like how they thought it would against their skin, the water doesn't seem to look like how it use to and the sun...
