Fierce. Determined. Stubborn. That's Chandler Wallace, the 17-year old captain of Lakeview High's girls' football team.
Belligerent. Cocky. Obsinate. That's Alex Taylor, captain of the boys' football team.
Both are confident and head-strong. Both are the leaders of the school's only undefeated sports teams. And both need to be the absolute best.
Being such revered captains always caused rivalry between the two of them, from popularity to grades, it was always a battle. But no battle was like this one.
When the richest girl in school breaks her leg at a cheerleading competition, her parents pull out all the funding they had put into the school, leaving Lakeview High less than half of what they had been before.
Suddenly, everything's changing. Classes are cut, equiptment is reduced, teachers are fired. But probably the worst part of the whole thing, to the students at least, is that the school no longer has enough funding to support two football teams. They are forced to combine into one, the weaker ones eliminated, leaving the best football players in the school to one team. And the best captains.
The two captains must now compete for the greatest title of all: captain of the entire school's football team.
There will be new friendships, betrayals, and of course, brawls.
In other words, the moment those funds were pulled out, hell was unleashed, and it's time for the biggest battle of Chandler and Alex's lives: the Captain Calamity.

I wrote this when I was younger. It's when I first started writing mature scenes so it's a tad cringy and super rushed. Just to warn you. In Ivory Jenkins senior year, she wants to commit herself to soccer. She had dreamt of this since she was the age of five. The only thing that kept her from playing soccer, was her parents. What they didn't know is that she has been making money to pay to play for a club team. Scouts have already seen her but want to see her play for her school, which means she can no longer play soccer behind her parents back. They had money, they were set but definitely far from rich. Not every blonde is stupid. In the South if you're a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed girl high expectations are made. Either you're not extremely smart, so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. The moment the townsfolk of Stonehenge, Alabama learned it was a girl under that helmet, was the moment true colors showed. It hasn't been easy and it won't get any better but Avery is here to play. * Avery is going to face REAL life problems, and not nice people. She's going to deal with sexual harassment, mean words, rude people, pregnancy, injuries, steroids, etc.. In this story I want to exemplify how sexist and cruel humans can be.
