Kazuha is taken to train and become a samurai from a young age. One day a new boy joins that looks nothing like a fighter, a perfect target for young bullies. The only one that doesn't judge by looks is Kazuha. They become close, almost inseparable. The vision hunt decree forces the boy to flee. When they reunite again, it's at the start of a war. Firstly, this story deals with self harm and suicidal themes. If this is a sensitive subject for you, please turn back now or whenever you feel like you need to. Put your safety first as always. Secondly, Kazuha and Scaramouche might be a bit OOC (out of character) here. This is because I'm exploring new roles and themes for them. I hope it doesn't bother anyone or show too much. Thirdly, I took inspiration from BSD Beast, hence the name of the fic being a reference to Osamu Dazai's book No Longer Human, and the whole mafioso thingy.
