Chi en was born to an Oiran in the Ikau house, her mother was kind to everyone but rumors spread when other Oirans and new courtesans came into the Ikau house and rivaled with Chi en's mothers' beauty, the country had never seen such beauty before, of course it would stir up jealousy and rivalries, no matter how kind Chi en's mother was. One day, being framed by another jealous Oiran, Chi en's mother gets executed, the rumors made it worse, there was no escape for her, as Chi en liked to call it, it was less of an execution and more of a murder, directly in front of her, rolled her mother's decapitated head, it was less upsetting than it was angering. That day, the scenery Chi en had seen, set a flame inside her ablaze. People wanted a two faced prostitute, she'd vow to give them one.

"Deliciously captivating! It's the perfect amount of laughs, love and drama. You won't be able to put this book down!" - Grace K @ HQ. When Agatha becomes the Everard's governess, she's grateful for a way to escape her dark past. That is until her growing feelings for the mysterious Lord of the house begin to present an even greater risk. ***** The Everard's are one of the most esteemed families in Wickhurst. And Benedict, the Lord of Devonshire and the eldest of the clan, is as mysterious and brooding as anyone The Town has ever seen. His face is marked with scars, and no one dares to speak on how he got them. Known to all as 'the beast,' the townsfolk tremble in his wake. But little does he know that he is about to meet his match in Agatha Blair, his sisters' new governess. Agatha is witty, smart and gives him a run for his money when he tries to peel back the layers of who she really is. She truly intrigues him more than any woman he has met but she is a governess and he is a Lord. The Town would shun the union of two people from different stations and any romance between them is surely a recipe for social disaster! But what can they do when the burning hot feelings refuse to relent? And when Benedict uncovers that Agatha is hiding a secret far more dangerous than anything he could have imagined, will love save the day and will Agatha finally tame the beast? *This story is a standalone title in the Everard Family series. Satataharitam - Short Stories On Narayana

Nārāyana. The Lord of Sustenance. To sustain his universe, he has always done everything one could ever imagine. From incarnating as a complete wild boar, to living away from the love of his life to vanquish evil, Lakshmīkānta has always done everything to establish Dharma every time Adharma threatens to overpower it. Ananta. He's endless. He will remain one of the few constants even as the universe comes to an end. Hari's kathā is just as everlasting as him, evergreen in both emotion and meaning. As perpetual as him are his stories, never coming to an end, never ceasing to enrapture those who attempt to understand these tales brimming with a charm nothing else has. This is an attempt to encapsulate some moments from the stories of Vāsudeva in shorts that may succeed in giving the tiniest glimpse of Vaikunthanātha. This is my attempt at writing about Rāmachandra, whom I love and revere beyond what my words can explain. This is my humble attempt at bringing to life some of the moments from the evergreen stories of Mahāvishnu. ××× [The chapters showcase these undoubtedly divine characters with a touch of humanization, and while I will try my level best not to get too carried away with it, moving too far away from the original plot, some people might not be willing to see their deities humanized. In that case, I'll request you to skip this book. Thank you!] Cover credit: @Mochis4lifeq52627 <333
