"They call you the Angel of Death. I can see why."

I let my dagger sink just a millimeter into his throat. An unsettling gleam of amusement settles in his eyes, and I press him harder against the wall.

"You have no idea what I can do to you."

He gazes down at me, his husky tone laced with provocation.

"I'd like to see you try."

Skylar Gray has never been the type to make friends. Certainly not in District 10, where slaughtering livestock consumed her entire upbringing, and definitely not in the Capitol after her victory. No, with no loved ones remaining, she preferred to be alone. But she's been reaped for the Third Quarter Quell, and as ideas of revolution pollute the typical Game traditions with anticipation, she will no doubt be a target for the undercover rebells. Despite her cold facade, the rebels will have to convince her to side with them, even if they include the "star-crossed lovers", a psychotic lumberjack or two, and a fan favorite, green-eyed blondie who has a peculiar obsession with tridents and sugar cubes.
