A Legend of Zelda inspired story about an original character with a deep impassioned look at LoZ-Accurate lore from the perspective of a lover of Hylian history. This story is set in the "Hero Triumphant" timeline after the events of the "Ocarina of Time". In spirit, it is often a poetic compendium of items, mythological history, and characters within the Legend of Zelda story. It is told through the narrative of a Hylian girl who wishes she was like the Hero of Time, but finds those are impossible shoes to fill.
I created a character who represents all of us Zelda fans and our love for the games. The idea of her and her story was born out of a thirst for Legend of Zelda content that would further explore the mature themes present in many of the games.
My intention is that the reader may recapture the joy of playing the Legend of Zelda and learn fascinating things that are canon to the games, its anthropological facts, even lore they didn't otherwise know, all while exploring themes more in depth.
Lastly, I write to you, it is an unavoidable fact that we all know fanfictions can be incredibly cringe and filled with self inserts that ruin canon, even professionally done and licensed projects these days. With that said, I have some key rules I promise to abide by: my main characters are original, I cannot alter canon/lore, my story will not have any greater impact on established canon, I will honor Zelda lore and its established characters. Path of Shadow: a Sheik Origin Story

A Tale of Two Princesses
What if Mipha put her love for Link and concern for Zelda ahead of Daruk's plan to rush to her Divine Beast? This story takes place in an AU that begins on the day of the Great Calamity. There is no time travel and the sequel to this story is "Love in Zora's Domain". Breath of the Wild: Link and Friends
Elyza looked past her village to the land beyond. She saw the Dueling Peaks. She had never left Necluda. Even Kakariko Village seemed far away. Now, looking at it, it didn't seem so far. She looked the other direction. She saw what looked like a big...tower. Huh? Has that always been there? Elyza thought. I don't think I've seen that before. Ever. When did that get there? And... why is it glowing orange? A story that follows the storyline of Botw but we gave Link some friends (my ocs). :) Pretty angsty in places. Also, this was the first fanfiction I ever wrote and while I have edited it some, the beginning is not that great, but it gets better, promise.Complete

She leads a peaceful life on Outset Island, with her two best friends, Link, and his little sister, Aryll. The three made a name for themselves as the ALO Outset Trio. They did everything together, even going as far as risking their lives to protect one another. Octavia's life took a devastating turn when Aryll is kidnapped by the Helmaroc King. She and Link go to try and save her. Knowing because she's a pointy eared girl, she could very easily be thrown in the exact same cell that Aryll was being held in. However, after Link plays a mysterious song, Octavia is visited by the spirit of her great-great-great-great-great grandmother, who gently tells her that she must awaken as the Hylian Sage Of Sea. She was destined to be locked away in the dark and terrifying dungeon bestowing power to the Master Sword.. and never get to do anything besides pray, pray, pray. How will Octavia handle this? How A Princess Fights.
When Zelda is forced to marry a tyrant that would bring her country to ruin, she lashes out at her new husband. The new King plots against her so he can have the kingdom and the Triforce for himself but Zelda has many friends in Hyrule. She must leave Hyrule Castle, her home, with no one but a knight at her side. She leaves with a promise, a promise to return some day, an army at her side and retake her kingdom, liberating her subjects from the King's tyranny. This is a Zelink story but I doubt it will be as good as my first Zelink story, 'A Princess Problem' but let's give it a try.
