Mackenzie Ziegler has had a great life until now. She begins to get bullied at the age of 13 and no one seems to notice or really care. Not even her sister, Maddie pays much attention to her like she used to. Will being bullied push Mackenzie over the edge? Or will she stay tough beat the bullies?

Cassie is a twelve year old girl who loves to dance. What happens when the Abby Lee Dance Company is looking for new dancers to join the team. Will Cassie make it on the team or not? Will all the other girls like her? Will Cassie sink or swim on this new competition team? Will there be regrets? Will she go back to her old studio? Will she ever get her chance to shine?

Paige Hyland, despite her history of reality TV, was a normal college student. She turned in assignments when they were due, and took her exams in her university's testing center. But then, Paige graduated, and was struggling to find work. She resorted to living at home, and her boyfriend decided to break up with her so he could travel around the world. Paige wanted to live. She wanted to be optimistic, but her world was falling apart.
