"Hey Rain," he spoke, breaking the silence between the duo, looking to his right as she dangled her legs in the pool next to him. "I wish the rain was around all the time," they said while looking back down.
It was quiet for a little bit, the soothing sound of rain beating against their backs and the water around them. He gazed towards her, the breath hitching in his throat when their eyes met. An unknown cloudiness was deep set into her vibrant azure eyes. "I know," she took a deep, shuddering breath- as if she was trying not to cry.
She looked up at the sky, closing her eyes and smiling faintly.
"But everyone needs to see the sun sometimes," she laughed dryly, "even you," finishing her sentence with a light punch to his shoulder.
"Yeah. I guess so,"
