Talia Johnson lived in a sociey where 5 girls from the ages of 8-18 were picked every year to live with a 'father' until the day they turned 18. These men didnt have daughters and girls where rare. Luckily, she hasnt been picked...until now. She's only with her 'father' for 4 years, but he makes her life a nightmare while she's there. She's more of a slave than a daughter. Talia thinks nothing can make her happy again. That is until she meets Ellen, Frank, and Taylor Caniff, the neighbors. She is immediately intrigued by Taylor, their 15 year old son, but is afraid he will turn out just like his father. Frank beats and abuses Talia, and her 'father' just sits back and lets it happen.
