"The Pacifist Paradox: 'Si vis pacem, para bellum' - For the desire of peace, prepare for war." This paradox states that despite the constant striving for peace, both in personal relationships and between nations, the very preparation for war ensures that peace will never truly be attained. Historical examples include the build-up of arms prior to World War I, the Cold War arms race between the United States and the Soviet Union, and the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. The paradox highlights the irony of the human condition, where the pursuit of peace ironically requires the preparation for violence and war.

War is not enough to excuse a world without peace and it is fought for by those who have not given up hope no matter what drives them. Either destined, cursed, outlawed, lied to or heartbroken, they struggle but only one can rule them all.
