The legend of the black winged angel happens to be true. Inoya possesses those wings. She seeks protection on the sacred mountain of the cats. She is being chased by two groups: One wants to use her as a weapon, the other wants her dead. 

She has to pay heed to the consequences of being unique. Both groups sent out a full on war. One wrong battle and her head is served to the king on a golden plate. 

On her way, she meets Yukitaro, Ishimi and Obake who helps her to achieve in mastering her new ability that only she possesses.
