The Pythagorean Cup of Justice
The Pythagorean Cup, also known as the Greedy Cup, is a drinking cup designed in ancient Greece by the mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras. The cup is designed so that if it is filled over a certain amount, the liquid will overflow through a small hole in the bottom. This ingenious design was meant to prevent one from over-indulging in wine or other beverages. It was also used to make sure that everyone in a banquet was served the same amount of drink.

The cup is a symbol of moderation in Greek philosophy, which states that one should not overindulge in anything and that moderation is key in all aspects of life. It also represents the idea of balance and harmony, since it is made up of two parts: the cup and the hole. The cup is a reminder that one should not be excessive in anything and that there should be a balance between pleasure and responsibility.

Pythagoras is believed to have invented the Pythagorean cup because he wanted to find a way to avoid overindulgence and maintain temperance. The cup was designed to prevent a person from drinking too much wine. The cup was made from a hollow, two-handled vessel with a plug in the bottom. When the cup was filled with wine, the plug would be removed and the wine allowed to pour out until the drinker's desired level of intoxication was reached. When the plug was put back in place, any further drinking was prevented. This design was meant to help people maintain their temperance and practice moderation in their drinking.

Infidelity, ˌinfəˈdelədē, is the action or state of being unfaithful to a moral obligation. Olivia Ludavico Spraying my right hand out to the door, I pushed it open, but I didn't miss a drop of blood that was plastered on the knob. Training my gun up into the room, I surveyed around and my eyes landed to see the man, that was suppose to be my kill with my bullet, with his head titled back and his hands tied to his chair- he looked to be sleeping but the two bullets to his head and chest told me it was an instant kill. Someone had beat me to it. "Damn it." I hissed out, clearly annoyed. I placed my hand on my earpiece turning my body sideways to the door. It hadn't been thirty minutes but my brother needed to know we wasted valuable time with me coming down here. It was apparent he wasn't doing bad business with just my father. My brother didn't respond and I rolled my eyes before my breath quickened after hearing clinking of a glass, and I turned on my heel ready to fight for life or death. I hesitated for the first time in my life. Piercing grey eyes in the dim light to Abram Smirnov's office stared back at me, and not to the gun that could end his life at any moment. He looked to be the man that invited death with open arms, but it was on his time and not when the universe called for him and the way his eyes flickered told me it was for damn sure not going to be from me; not for tonight. His fingers grazed the side of his glass before I watched him tick his forefinger against it. He radiated off power and my finger closed around the trigger but I didn't pull it. If he was going to hurt me; he would've by now. What did he want? Nicholai Corsetti

There Are Three Truthes, My Truth, Your Truth, And The Truth... «P R O L O G U E» "When you hate someone, just know that you will try to do everything to end them, when they hurt you, you're gonna break them. That's how life works, if you wanna survive, you have to chase, or they'll mistook you as a prey." Crook said. "When you harbor that deep-seated hatred, it's like a fire burning inside you, consuming every thought, every action," Crook mused, his voice low and ominous. "You see, revenge becomes your only language, your every move calculated to bring about their downfall. It's a cold, cruel world out there, Jane. Survival means playing the game, hunting instead of being hunted," Crook explained, his words dripping with a chilling truth. "And when the pain becomes unbearable, when betrayal cuts deep, your instincts kick in. Your mind races ahead, trying to shield your heart from the impending storm, a battle between logic and emotion," Crook revealed, his demeanor a mix of calculated strategy and hidden vulnerability. "When they try to hurt you, you wanna break them, when they hate you, you hate them, and when you hate them you're gonna end them." "When he hurt me I ran away, because my mind knew something my heart didn't want to proceed..." (Second book of 'Dare') "Sometimes, the truth can be a painful storm, but in this tale, the truth will be the gentle wind that guides everything back to harmony. How? The arms race began in Mesopotamia with the invention of composite bows, light chariots and crossbows. The Persian (Iranian) emperor tried to conquer Athens in 480 BCE but was delayed by the Spartans at Thermopylae while Greek warships destroyed the Persian fleet. The Macedonian ruler, Alexander the Great, completely destroyed the Persian armies by 326 BCE and established the Greek empire. Then, between 600 and 200 BCE, a few hundred Greeks revolutionized science, mathematics, medicine, engineering, history, law and philosophy. Meanwhile, Greeks settlers in Sicily were in conflict with Rome and, by first century BCE, Romans had conquered Greece, Egypt, Carthage and the old Persian empire. Roman traders made large profits using the Silk Road between Rome, China and India and which created higher incomes though out the Roman empire. Roman engineers built more than 80,000 km of roads throughout the empire and 800 km of aqueducts in Rome delivered a million cubic metres of water each day. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. It began when we learned to control fire, evolved articulate speech and stumbled onto the way to create infinite wealth; free trade. The discovery of agriculture made us richer but we also learned how to destroy wealth. Great civilization grew up but then disappeared leaving only incredible ruins and ideas. Later books detail some of the ideas and developments that increased the average life span from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day (and to $140 per day in some countries).
