The beginning of the end... Ten years after a nuclear explosion obliterates the world they once knew, a groups of survivors fight to establish a new life. What they don't know is that hiding in the shadows are 'walkers' - creatures that have been slowly growing in numbers, and strength from the fallout of the explosion. There are two rules for surviving the post-apocalyptic world: Rule number one: Always go for the head. Rule number two: Never look back. But when a blast-from-the-past causes them to watch over their shoulders, they realise they may be in more danger than they anticipated. So what happens when you mix danger with destruction? You get a Halo. -*_ Started: 2/03/2023 Finished: #2 end of the world 1/05/23 #1 end of the world 5/05/23

I ran as fast as my feet would carry me. My lungs gasped for oxygen. I knew I had to stop, but he could still be following me. I pushed myself harder. I needed to get away, far away. From him. From this. I remember I just woke up one day, and went to work as usual. I drove my squad car around town on patrol, but I saw bodies. Bodies everywhere. They were dead bodies, but they weren't still on the ground. They were walking around. As if they had re-animated. I shook away the memories from the day it started all those weeks ago and focused on my running. It was almost sunrise and I figured I could stop soon. As soon as I knew I was safe. But I know now that I had fooled myself. In this new world, you can never be safe. I'm Katie Greene, and this is the apocalypse.
