The world ended thirty years ago. Now everything that's left is a few survivors and a massive amount of Crimson Gluttons, but we know them with another name: zombies. Mason is one of the survivors, and he has something that can end the end once and for all, but in order to do it, he needs to cross an entire country while taking care of his little sister, Maya. Nathan was born in a survivor city, but when his group gets attacked and separated, he finds himself lost in a crimson world, filled with deadly living beings, and he had the bad luck to meet the worst of them: Mason. Now they walk through the mortal lands of what once was earth with the only hope that, somehow, two teenagers and a baby can save what's left of them. It all happed too fast and I guess even faster to me since my vision was blurred by my tears, as I saw three more soldiers I didn't even get to say goodbye ... ***** With a world threatened to the point of non existing , they turn to the survivors of the deadly plague for a life of breeding . They think the only way to save themselves is to create the next human race with the immune ability to survival. They will be stronger, tougher , the next generation formed to perfection. But will it really be that easy ? *** Andrea Hughes was left to fend for herself at the age of 18 when both of her parents died due to the plague . She's been on the run for almost a year , trying to escape the claws of the government, in need of carriers . Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on.
