The year is 1989. Most of Europe has been conquered by a totalitarian force. The United Kingdom has renamed itself to its former Roman power; "Britannia".
Alexander Petrov works as a Commander in the regime. He approves and oversees documents - lists of people to be executed.
Linda Demille is a Quota-Worker in the regime. She goes to work and stays under the radar. Secretly, she works as a rebel for the Underground.
As the two have a fleeting interaction on the street, fate intervenes, and the two wake up in each other's bodies.
