Hilda Lee is a journalist who recently quit her day job to investigate strange rumours of hikers disappearing in Silverback Mountain. She's not particularly strong or tenacious but she is determined to find the lost hikers dead or alive and learn to understand the supposed swarm of cicadas that call Silverback Mountain home.
