18+ Mature Story Dani Quinn's life changed forever from being a college student to being a survivor in the zombie apocalypse. Facing betrayal and trauma, she found herself alone, hurt, and still holding out hope she could make it home to find her family. She is later saved by a group of strangers after an injury, but trusting them would not be easy. Being forced to recover in their care, she begins to see that their kindness is not just an act. Slowly starting to trust again, Dani begins to open herself up to the groups leader, Luke. But the more she cared for them, the more she started to fear the possibility of losing them. But during a zombie apocalypse, when you get desperate, you're desperate. When you're out of options, you need to do what you need to do to survive every day. Sometimes, it might not always be ideal. But when push comes to shove, when you're barely alive and should be dead, the people who you don't know may just save you. Surviving without enemies is hard enough. But when the past comes back to haunt and enemies come to fight, the apocalypse may just become almost impossible to survive. Brains and brawn may not be enough. It takes heart to make it day to day. They knew it would be hard. They didn't know it would be next to impossible to survive. This is a story my friend and I wrote together. It took us about a year to complete.
