Devyn Brooks has only ever had one fear: don't become like Aunt Atheena. But after helping her boyfriend, Ace Jones, solve his case last spring, Devyn is no longer afraid of her gift. Now, Devyn and Ace are juniors at Arizona State University and they're in love as ever, even if Ace silently struggles with post-traumatic stress. But things take a turn for the couple when Devyn leads a child to Peace and sees the little girl's memories through her dreams. These dreams seem to hold the clues for catching a serial killer. Teaming up with an unlikely ally, she throws herself into this case and discovers an entire web of missing Black children, all who have gone ignored by police. This only fuels Devyn to invest all of her energy into catching the bad guy, especially when she fears he has another young girl in his clutches. As people start to question if she's losing touch with reality, Devyn realizes she hasn't just lost herself but possibly her boyfriend for good. Will Ace and Devyn keep each other from falling apart? Or will the past haunt them until they break?
