This is a short sequel to my story 'Light and Shadows' focused on the characters and their relationships after they reach Valinor.
The battles are finally over but how easy is it for our heroes to start over in Valinor and create a new life from scratch? Though they finally live in peace, are truly all shadows gone from their hearts?
Thranduil has a second son called Amrod.
Legolas finds love.
All those who departed Middle-Earth start a new life in the Blessed Realm.

The King's Heart (Thranduil Fanfiction)
Being a king is hard. Raising a son is hard. Living with eternal grief is hard. King Thranduil is just trying to keep his kingdom running and his son safe when an elf is found with orcs at the border of Greenwood. Who could this mysterious elf truly be? But then the elf he rescued in the forest grows closer to Legolas, and Thranduil can not help but enjoy her company as well. Darkness descends over the forest, all because of this one elf. When lives are threatened, Thranduil must make a choice: his kingdom or his heart. 12/14/21- y'all I wrote this in high school and I kinda want to go through it again and do a bunch of editing. Some of my writing makes me cringe and what are we here for if not improvement.
