All Lottie had ever wanted was to live an ordinary life out of the shadows of the mistakes she had made as a seven-year-old.

After a stranger shows up in the village offering to marry her, she gets exactly what she wished for: a normal, peaceful life with an ordinary husband. They might not have love or kids between them, but life goes on, right?

Until a series of unfortunate disasters strike (as they do) and puts her on the doorstep of hell.

That's when she finds out her very ordinary husband... isn't so ordinary at all.
