Clones pop out of Verspri at the least convenient times. They look like him, but they have personalities and skills of their own--so of course they blow Verspri's cover, and get him sent packing to a secret magic school in Mexico where he's supposed to master his powers...aka, babysit copies of himself.

Along the way, he meets Ana (illusion abilities), Kwayo (shapeshifting powers), and their seventeen other dorm mates, all training in the ways of war. They take teleporters to knife-throwing class. They learn archery, take part in deadly obstacle courses. Yet none of those prepare Verspri for the hidden dangers lurking within the school...All Rights Reserved

This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
