A year has passed since Seren Marzena returned to the Night Court with her mate, Azriel. Their time of rest is coming to an end. Plans long kept silent are now being enacted. All across Prythian, threats are revealing themselves. The three Mortal Queens have returned and pledged their allegiance to Koschei, an ancient god who is determined to see Prythian crumble beneath him. Old allies are becoming new enemies as Koschei's influence spreads. He and the Queens must be defeated before they locate Prythian's most powerful artifacts. Time is running out for everyone. If the Courts cannot band together and summon their remaining allies in time, all will be lost.
