After the events of the Crystal King, the ninja have continued to train incase the city calls for their assistance once more, regardless of having their powers or not.

Fast forward a few more years and the ninja have settled down and started their own families. Kai, Cole, Nya, Jay, Zane and Lloyd are juggling the abilities of raising their children, being the protectors of Ninjago city and their day jobs.

What happens when Kai, Cole, Jay and Zane's powers return, just like Master Wu prophesied, but their powers don't return to them? And it's their duty to train the New Gen?

They seemed to be discussing something but none of the others would know what. As one of the others comes over they keep their mouths shut. Wu sat by the fire and meditated. How he would love to be able to see what has been going on in the two students' heads, but there was no possible way of doing so. He hummed as his smoke visions started to appear. Everyone was as happy as could be as expected but then the visions slowly started to darken... He awoke again with a small burst of panic but quickly calmed down, he knew to keep them safe. He had to prevent them from whatever they might be trying to do... Little did he know... he was already too late. What did Wu see? What is Jay and kai planning? And who may They be?
