The boys are having a normal day in the lair when Donnie Accidentally blow something up, filling the lair with smoke. I
To get the smoke out of the lair they open the draincover in the main room, only for an unexpected guest to fall in.

This takes place about 6 months after the kranng invasion. 

Also trigger warning, there are going to be mentions of rape, torcher, self harm, etc. if you are sensitive to that then go find another story to read and I hope whoever has hurt you gets what they deserve.

This was inspired by a ticktock I saw a while back where a person fell into the lair and it got the wheels turning. Hope you enjoy!

Everything from this point and on will take place after the ROTTMNT movie, if you haven't already, please go watch the movie to understand the context behind some of these situations. (Plus the movie is really good so please go watch it). Some of my personal headcanons will be thrown in here as well :) Summary: The brothers are now at home resting and healing from the big Kraang battle, Raph is blind in one of his eyes, Mikey is getting physical therapy to learn how to use his hands again, and Leo's shell is being healed. Donnie being the only one who wasn't incredibly injured decided to take all responsibility of stopping villians, even after promising to his little brother that he wouldn't leave the lair. They had just escaped the city by hiding out at April's old farm house. Considering everything they all have lost, everyone is miserable. And Mikey? Well...he's struggling with SH, but someone helps him realize that things won't always be miserable.

So... this is a bit weird. I thought I died from... wait, how did I die again? That's not important, I died, why am I alive? Who's body is this? Where am I? A bum is laying on a cardboard box, a dumpster is to my left, and convenient newspapers littered the ground. An alley, I was in a very dirty and uncomfortable alleyway. I tried to stand but failed. I am in the body of a baby, a baby's. I'm in a ducking baby's body. Assuming my apparent mother left me here. Wait, I hear someone. Uh, help! Please, help! "Oh no, honey are you okay? Who would leave a baby here?"

"D-Donnie-" "Just get out." Donnie's voice is quiet again, his hand shaking as he picks up a paper. "Get out and let me figure this out in peace." Something rises in the leader, similar to the gut instinct he gains when his team is about to walk into a trap, or there's a danger lurking just out of sight. He knows that it would be easy to leave, to obey his stressed younger brother and allow him to continue his work. In a way, this had been what he'd wanted, hadn't it? But this is wrong. Donnie had left during their argument a few evening before. Left on a horrible note of blame and anger and stress that hadn't faded. His little brother may not have realized it yet, but they needed to remedy this or it was only going to get worse. Leo started this, and now he's going to finish it.

It wouldn't be surprising if Leo got some unneeded criticism from his older brother, Raph, after Leo suddenly became the leader of him and his brothers. Mikey was always the one who tried to make things better, but he noticed things between them all have changed. Donnie is more obsessed with his lair and invention. Raph likes to cause fights with Leo at times and everything is just chaos. Mikey decides that after he's done with a single fight, he goes off to try and gain some peace, but he runs into someone. Big Mama's so-called assistant was discarded after Big Mama gained "Shadow Fiend", so the assistant ran off in fear of being killed. But the odd thing is that there is more to the mutant than meets the eye. For one, she's a mutant turtle hybrid and is living on the streets of the surface. So what happens when her usual stealing is stopped by Mikey? A friend of mine made the silhouettes of the turtles but I made the cover with Canva. ROTTMNT belongs to Nickelodeon, as does the assistant. But the theory belongs to neither me or Nickelodeon. I own the plot.
