Kathrine "Kit" Moody is a young developer working at Coupa Cafe in the middle of Palo Alto. Kit created an app for the public, though the idea becomes little to nothing as the homeless aren't particularly interested in such a development once she attempts to reveal this to them.

So instead, Kit agrees to assist her roommate Richard Hendricks with his Company called Pied Piper, a revolutionary data compression algorithm. Eventually, Richard is hired by the great Peter Gregory; alongside Kit, the rest of her roommates, Dinesh Chugtai and Bertram Gilfoyle, are employed to get the job done. The team band together to create a new future in the middle of their landlord's "business incubator." While doing so, a curious man named Jared Dunn is hired to help Richard with his business.

Jared Dunn once worked closely with Gavin Belson, the CEO of Hooli. Angered by Richard teaming up with his biggest rival and taking away his best executive member - Gavin decides to take down Pied Piper no matter what it takes.

During this adventure, Jared and Kit quickly become close, and an unexpected relationship builds throughout the years. During their wild times together, Jared and Kit learn about themselves, learn to build strong relationships, and learn the ways of Silicon Valley.
