Making our way into the great hall I could see the entire council was gathered, along with another group of wolves.
As Koda and I got closer I began to feel Khione becoming antsy, my nose tickled I began to smell the most intoxicating scent I'd ever smelt in my entire life.
If I could collect that and turn it into a candle I'd burn it every night.
It was a deep mix of pine and a slight salty breeze. I felt my body tense as Khione stated one word under her breath.
Mate
Koda noticed me stop, his steps halting as well, he looked down at me concerned. Our sudden entrance had caused the conversation between the council and the other wolves to stop.
"Alpha?" Koda stated, his hand gently touching my shoulder, he was always respectful like that in front of other wolves, only ever calling me Ellie when we were in our own company.
Before I could say anything a deep growl interrupting my thoughts.
In an instant Kodas hand was off my shoulder and a man was holding my beta by his neck.
"My mate" he growled, I noticed his claws begin the extended and instantly grabbed his hand prying it from my betas neck.
As my fingers wrapped around his I felt a mind blowing sensation spark through my finger tips. The man must of felt it too because he instantly let go of Koda.
"Do not lay your hands on my beta" I felt Khione taking over, feeling protective over her pack member.
My attention turned toward Koda, Khione worried for her second in command but also jumping as she realized the man who did this was our mate.
"Do not touch him" the man seethed whirling me around, a small gasp left my lips as I looked into a set of familiar Green/grey eyes.
A set of eyes I hadn't seen in 7 years and never expected to see again.
"Xavier" my breath hitched in my throat as recognition set over his face.
How could this be, how could I be his mate he had already found her. She was the reason I had been banished from my pack, my home, my family.

11:59 pm "5" "4" "3" They chanted counting down to the moment Ares will meet his mate. "2" "1" Sparks erupted in my heart making me gasp and fall onto my knees in shock of the unfamiliar feeling. Everyone in the ballroom turn to me before gasping in shock. A loud Beastly roar is heard through the air making everyone go silent. "Oh Shit!" Steven exclaimed next to me, his brown eyes going huge at the sight in front of me I look up to see Ares, he jumps off the stage and runs at me, the crowd splits in half leaving me in the middle where he can get to me easier "Gee thanks guys" I glare at everyone He quickly but gently picks me up into his strong arms slamming his soft pink lips onto mine. Fireworks.Sparks.Tingles. It's as if all of the evil memories or thoughts of him were washed away as I kissed him more. Like as if I was brainwashed, in a trance that I couldn't break out of. It was addicting like a drug, I had to have more. Then I remember who he was. What he has done to innocent people. My mate is a monster. I pull away in shock not believing what I just have done. I was almost to the door when I remembered the leather jacket I brought. I turned back to the room and just as I entered the most wonderful smell hit my nose. My wolf started to go crazy and I looked up to see a small pale girl with black hair in a bun and pale blue eyes. All my wolf kept saying was MATE over and over again. The room blurred until all I saw was her. She was cleaning up the table when her head snapped up to my direction. Her eyes widened and she instantly bowed her head down and stepped back from me. "I am sorry Alpha Colton I did not know you were coming back." She said shaking in fear. Just then Alpha Andrew walked in and slapped her. "DONT JUST STAND THERE CLEAN THIS SHIT UP!" My wolf sprang forward and I grabbed Alpha Andrews throwing him across the room. I Knew i was on the verge of shifting but it was pointless in trying to calm my wolf. "YOU DARE LAY YOUR HAND ON MY MATE!" I growled then grabbed his head smashing it into the wall knocking him out and turned to my mate. She looked at me with wide frightened eyes and backed away.
