En algún momento el mundo digital fue atacado por un misterioso virus que infecto la mayor parte de los digimon alterando así el mundo digital y a la vez el mundo real provocando la descomposición de todos los aparatos electrónicos el mundo dejo de funcionar solo un 3 servidores están en funcionamiento.
Yggdrasil y Homeostasis usaron los datos restantes y un programa de un proyecto universitario para recrear unos digimon para los nuevos elegidos para reparar y curar el mundo digital.
Debido que el mundo digital y la mayor parte de los digimons están fuera de servicio.
