Lava flows where without notice
By james a. galgano
Should have seen the rushing lava tide was coming
Viewed by video where automobile succumbed to terrain
There within the sulfuric mist who might explain such reality
As your life and property are engulfed by river of flame
Soon you are eradicated and only your name if lucky remains
To record who you were for some national news seeking advertisers
Yet if no money is to be found communicating your loss is ignored
You are labeled but some unknown victim for whom time gives no pause
Ever to reflect who you were or what impact you had by all you knew
What would be the point in the media's blind eye logic cannot construe
There might be some volcano lava flow destroying all in its path
But you have no value to them so you are ignored why do the math
Who were you anyway but someone whose death soon forgotten
Maybe if you were rich or well known all would have not been misbegotten
There might be an eruption beneath whose path all life is erased
But if your existence has no value to anyone you are gone without trace
