Zuri is a suicidal fifteen year old girl in desperate need of hope. Her mother died four years ago, and ever since, her life has been total hell. Her father takes everything out on her, and her eighteen year old boyfriend does the same. She gets seriously bullied at school for absolutely no reason. Teachers there blame every fight she gets in on her. One day her father comes home drunk. She runs to her room and locks the door not wanting to get hurt again. She's had enough. She has the feeling that not everyone in the world can be bad. She runs away to explore the world and the people in it. She stumbles across many creatures like her.
