Reconnecting with Allah

This is a pretty raw book. I've included unedited journal entries of my attempts to connect with Allah too.

My journey has just started & I pray to get the chance to spend it in the most productive way, because afterall, no one lives forever.

I hope that by sharing this, someone who is/was in the same situation as me can take solace in the fact that not all is lost, and that even if you keep on swaying from the right path after you think you'll never sway again, it's okay. Ask forgiveness for it and most importantly Forgive yourself for it.

We're human, and we make mistakes (as you'll see in my journals too) but what's important is to ask for forgiveness and try to do more good to make up for all the time we lost.

Because remember, Allah (God) isn't like humans who keep on reminding us of our flaws. Allah is the most forgiving and we should be careful to not mistake how our relationship with people is to how Allah thinks of us.

If people hate you, doesn't mean Allah does too!

And just because your relationship with people suffers after you make the same mistake again and again, doesn't mean it's the same for your relationship with Allah.

Ask genuinely for forgiveness and know that Allah will forgive you, and that Allah doesn't hold grudges like human do. So even if you sway again and again, just come back with a pure heart to Allah and try your best!

This life is a struggle, and humans were made weak, Allah knows it. Just keep on putting effort to connect with Allah and know that Allah sees your struggle even if people don't! 🤍
