" I have loved you since we were kids.. " My childhood bestfriend is my first love. I first realized it when we were kids, probably in third grade. Some kids who were a grade higher than us were bullying me because i was short and scrawny, they beat me up until i couldn't move anymore, i thought i was dying, but then like a ray of sunshine on a dark and gloomy day, my bestfriend, Hikaru , saved me, he was the polar opposite of me, he was tall and had a big build, looking like a sixth grader, he scared the kids away and immediately took me to the school nurse and helped me report the kids who did it to me to their parents. The name Hikaru (ひかるひかる) is a verb form of light, which means to glow, radiance, he was literally my light. Even when I came out to him as bisexual when we were in freshman year highschool, he didn't judge me, he was just curious and asked me a million questions about it. He even asked me if i was interested in anyone, of course, i told him i wasn't even though the person that i've been inlove with all my life was him, of course, i could never tell him that. -Daisy<3

"You unlovable, utterly dreadful child of mine." - Haru wished for a friend, splashes of colour to perfect the imperfect her. Someone that would cover up the gaping hole she felt in herself. Someone that could multiply her self worth measured in droplets of water. Yet, this masquerade of hers dug herself deeper into her own abyss, slowly, overwhelmingly, aggressively. Two lonely souls met beneath the moon's guidance, and their tales would begin to intertwine. They who know not how to love wished to feel it anyway, flailing, struggling, trudging through the tumultuous stages of youth. TW: mental illness, domestic abuse
