The dark wood wide web

The world is terrorized by unexplained plagues. Buildings implode in green clouds. The media called these attacks the Green Outbursts. The White Dream, claims hundreds of thousands of lives. This disease begins with white spots.

Jasmin Nevelsteen knows she is not normal. She comes from a family of dryads, with deep roots in Flanders, but she is not chosen by the trees to become one too and tap into the same powers as her father and older sister. She is, however, blessed with two other abilities. She can hack computer networks.... and she can occasionally see ghosts of murdered people.

2013 is a year full of setbacks. Her best friend died from an opioid overdose. After the Green Eruption in London, her father and her eldest sister turn on each other, with tragic consequences. And she wakes up one day with some white spots on her arm. She takes an assignment in Japan and discovers what dark spider web she has become entangled in.
